Controller

Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to lead their accounting and finance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing financial operations, driving process improvements, supporting ERP initiatives, and partnering with executive leadership to ensure the organization's financial success.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting and finance department, including direct supervision of accounting staff
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and financial procedures
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning activities
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations
• Support audits and regulatory compliance requirements
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies throughout the finance function
• Lead and support ERP system implementations, upgrades, and transitions
• Ensure accurate reporting and compliance within an ITAR-regulated environment
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and other business units to support company objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting and finance leadership experience
• 4+ years of direct management experience
• Strong manufacturing industry experience required
• Public accounting experience preferred but not required
• Proven experience working with ERP systems and leading teams through ERP transitions or implementations
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Must be eligible to work within an ITAR-regulated environment:
  • U.S. Citizen, or
  • Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), or
  • Asylee/Refugee

Pay Rate

$145,000 - $150,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Additional Compensation

• 22% Bonus Opportunity
• Two Profit-Sharing Bonus Opportunities Annually

Schedule

• Exempt Position
• Monday through Friday
• Standard hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Fully onsite
• No remote or hybrid work available
